Hi. I’m Lex, and I am Ready
To Be a Part of Your Journey!
Lex Rivers, MSW, M.Div. LMHC, SUDP
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) here in Washington State. With almost 30 years of experience working with individuals facing both mental health and substance use challenges, I’ve had the honor of supporting many people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Alongside my counseling work, I’m passionate about mentoring and supervising new counselor associates, helping guide the next generation of healing professionals.
Whether you’re seeking professional supervision or personal counseling services, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space to explore, grow, and find solutions that work for you.
A Little Bit About Me
I’ve been working in the field of counseling since 1997. My journey began in substance abuse counseling, and I later pursued my Master’s degree in social work and obtained my LMHC. Over the years, I’ve served as a regional clinical manager, overseeing treatment in multiple locations, and I’ve worked closely with individuals and groups dealing with a range of mental health and substance use issues.
In addition to my clinical experience, I’ve also had the privilege of responding to three major disaster situations, including hurricanes and the Oklahoma City bombing. These experiences deepened my understanding of trauma and human resilience, which I bring into both my counseling practice and supervision work.
I believe strongly in the power of intuitive, person-centered care. Counseling—and supervision—isn't just about following protocols. It's about trusting your gut, exploring your perceptions, and remaining curious about what’s unfolding in the moment. My role is to help you tap into that intuition, whether you’re my client or someone I supervise.
